For SATA SSDs, M.2 SSDs, NVMe drives, and solid-state storage that is failed, corrupted, not detected, or no longer accessible.

For files lost after deletion, accidental formatting, partition problems, file system corruption, or an inaccessible volume.

For drives that click, disconnect, freeze the computer, spin down, show errors, or no longer appear normally. If the data matters, stop using the drive before bringing it in.
